Diane McClellan earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University in 1984.  After graduation, Diane was employed by the Internal Revenue Service as a Tax Auditor and Internal Revenue Agent from 1984 through 1990 in Florida.

In 1990, Diane left the IRS to attend law school.  In 1993, Diane graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree with Honors from Florida State University College of Law.

After practicing law in Tallahassee, Diane relocated to Sarasota where she served as Court Counsel for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit  from 1995 through 2005.  In this position, Diane worked directly with the circuit judges and advised them regarding a wide variety of complex legal matters pending in the civil and family divisions of the court.  In addition, she served as a Child Support Hearing Officer.

Since 2005,  Diane has practiced in the Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda offices of the Wotitzky Law Firm.  In 2009, Diane left the Wotitzky Law Firm in order to start her own practice.  Diane founded the McClellan Law Firm in order to provide quality, caring, and professional legal services to clients at reasonable rates.
